Effective from: 01.08.2026
These Terms and Conditions govern every purchase made through the online shop at
leis-design.com. Please read them before you order. By placing an order you confirm that you
have read them and that you accept them.
We have tried to write these terms in plain English. Where a term has a specific legal
meaning we say so. Nothing in this document limits the rights you have under mandatory
consumer law.
1. Who we are
The online shop at leis-design.com is operated by:
RIMARKET wooden products LLC
Jurjevica 50, Jurjevica, 1310 Ribnica, Slovenia, EU
Registration number: 3360563000
VAT identification number: SI41578562
Registered on 8 July 2008
Court register: District Court of Ljubljana, entry number 2008/25428
Email: info@leis-design.com
Telephone: +386 51 726 150
“Leis” is our brand. In this document “we”, “us” and “our” mean RIMARKET LLC. “You” means
the person placing the order.
Full company details are in our Imprint.
2. Who these terms apply to
These terms apply to consumers, meaning natural persons who buy for purposes outside their
trade, business, craft or profession.
If you buy as a business, you may enter your company name and VAT number at checkout. In
that case the sections of these terms that implement consumer law do not apply to you. This
includes the right of withdrawal in section 11 and the statutory conformity rules in
section 12. Business purchases are governed by the Slovenian Obligations Code.
We sell to end customers only. We do not accept orders for resale.
3. Availability of information
Before you place your order we make the following information available to you on the
product page, in the shopping flow and in these documents:
- our identity, registered address, email address and telephone number
- the main characteristics of the product
- the total price including VAT and all delivery costs
- the accepted payment methods
- the delivery method, the delivery area and the expected delivery time
- the existence of the right of withdrawal, the deadline and how to exercise it, including
the model withdrawal form - the fact that you bear the direct cost of returning the goods if you withdraw
- the existence of statutory liability for conformity of the goods
- our complaints procedure
- how customer reviews on this site are collected and what we verify
The same information is repeated in the order confirmation we send you by email.
4. The product
We sell one product, the Leis Magnetic Trivet.
It is a trivet for hot cookware, made from solid beech. It is built as a cross of two slats
with magnets embedded inside them. The magnets grip the base of cast iron and steel
cookware, so the trivet stays attached to the pot while you carry it from the hob to the
table.
Key facts you should know before you buy:
- One size only. There are no variants, no size options and no finish options.
- Made to order. Each trivet is made in our own workshop after your order is placed.
This does not make it a personalised product. See section 11.3. - Magnetic cookware only. The magnets hold cookware with a ferromagnetic base, meaning
cast iron and most steel. They do not hold aluminium, copper or most non magnetic
stainless steel. If you are not sure, test your pot with a fridge magnet. If the magnet
sticks to the base of the pot, the trivet will hold it. - Natural material. Beech is a natural material. Grain, colour and figure vary between
pieces. This variation is normal and is not a defect. - Heat. The trivet is designed to carry hot cookware coming off a hob. It is not
designed for direct flame, for oven use or for cookware taken straight out of a very hot
oven beyond the limit stated in the product specification. - Care. Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not soak, do not put in a dishwasher.
Product photographs are illustrative. The dimensions, weight, magnet specification and heat
limit stated on the product page are the binding description.
We do not operate stock control for this product, because it is made to order. This means we
never display stock quantities or “only X left” messages. We state a delivery time instead.
5. Prices
- All prices are shown in euros (EUR).
- All prices include Slovenian VAT. We charge Slovenian VAT on all sales to consumers in
the European Union. - Prices do not include the delivery cost unless the page says delivery is free. The
delivery cost is shown before you pay and is included in the total shown at checkout. - The price that applies to your order is the price displayed at the moment you complete
payment.
We may change prices at any time. A price change never affects an order that has already
been paid.
5.1 Price reductions and the 30 day rule
If we announce a price reduction on the product, we also display the lowest price we
applied to that product during the 30 days before the reduction, as required by Directive
(EU) 98/6/EC as amended by Directive (EU) 2019/2161 and by the Slovenian Consumer Protection
Act.
Our shop records every price change automatically, so this figure is generated from our own
price history and not entered by hand.
A crossed out price appears on the site only when a genuine sale price is set against a
genuine previous regular price. Quantity discounts on two or three units are shown as a
percentage badge and a lower unit price, not as a crossed out price, because they are volume
discounts and not a price reduction on the single unit.
5.2 No personalised pricing
We do not adjust the price based on automated profiling of individual visitors. Every
visitor sees the same price for the same quantity at the same time.
The website shows different text and images depending on which advertisement you arrived
from. This affects wording and photographs only. It never affects the price, the discounts
or the delivery cost.
5.3 No artificial urgency
We do not use countdown timers, artificial stock limits or fake scarcity messages.
6. Payment
We accept prepayment methods only. Payment is taken at the moment you place the order.
| Method | Provider |
|---|---|
| Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express where supported) | Revolut |
| Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link | Revolut |
| PayPal | PayPal |
We do not offer cash on delivery, payment on collection, bank transfer against a proforma
invoice, instalments or any pay later method. An order is only created once payment has
been authorised.
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited and by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et
Cie, S.C.A. We never see or store your full card number. Card data is entered directly into
the payment provider’s fields and is transmitted to the provider over an encrypted
connection.
7. How a contract is formed
- You select a quantity package (1, 2 or 3 units) and add it to the cart.
- You are taken directly to the checkout page. There is no separate cart page.
- You enter your contact and delivery details.
- Before payment you see a full summary: the product, the quantity, the unit price, any
discount, the delivery cost and the total including VAT. - You pay. The button that completes the order is clearly labelled as an obligation to pay.
- The contract is concluded at the moment your payment is successfully authorised.
- We then send you an order confirmation by email, together with these terms, the
information on the right of withdrawal and the model withdrawal form.
There is no telephone confirmation step. We do not call you to confirm the order and the
contract does not depend on any such call. If someone calls you claiming to be from Leis and
asks for payment details in order to “confirm” an order, it is not us. Do not give them
anything and please report it to info@leis-design.com.
If you do not receive the confirmation email within a few hours, please check your spam
folder and then contact us.
7.1 Order errors
You can review and correct all entered data on the checkout page before you pay. If you
notice a mistake after paying, contact us at info@leis-design.com as soon as possible. We
will correct the order if it has not yet been dispatched.
7.2 When we may refuse or cancel an order
We may refuse or cancel an order and refund you in full if:
- the delivery address is outside our delivery area (see section 8)
- the payment was flagged as fraudulent by the payment provider
- the order is clearly intended for resale
- a price or product description was displayed with an obvious error, for example a price
that is off by a factor of ten, and you could reasonably have recognised the error - we are unable to produce the item for reasons outside our control
In each of these cases we tell you by email and refund the full amount to the original
payment method without undue delay.
7.3 Record of the contract
We store the order data in our shop system. You receive the full contract text by email with
the order confirmation, so you have your own copy. We do not offer customer accounts and
there is no login area where past orders can be viewed.
8. Delivery
Full details are in Shipping and Returns. The essentials:
- We ship from Slovenia with GLS.
- We deliver to mainland European Union countries.
- Cyprus and Malta are excluded, as are island destinations that carry disproportionate
shipping costs. Addresses in excluded destinations cannot be selected at checkout. - Expected delivery time is 2 to 5 working days from dispatch, depending on distance.
- Delivery cost is 3.99 EUR for one unit. Delivery is free for two or three units.
- We do not deliver to parcel lockers or PO boxes unless the checkout offers that option.
Under the EU Geo-blocking Regulation (EU) 2018/302 we do not block access to our shop based
on your country of residence. If you live in a country we do not deliver to, you may still
place an order and arrange collection or onward carriage yourself, at your own cost and
risk, from an address we deliver to.
The delivery time is an estimate and starts when the order is dispatched, not when it is
paid. Because each trivet is made to order, we allow a short production time before
dispatch. The current dispatch and delivery estimate is stated on the product page and in
Shipping and Returns.
If we cannot meet the stated delivery time we will tell you and offer you the choice of an
extended delivery date or a full refund.
Risk of loss or damage passes to you when you or a third party nominated by you, other than
the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods.
9. VAT and invoicing
We charge Slovenian VAT on all sales. Prices displayed on the site are VAT inclusive.
An invoice is issued for every order and is [TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER: sent by email with
the order confirmation / included in the parcel]. If you need a VAT invoice with your
company details, enter your company name and valid VAT identification number at checkout
before paying. We cannot reissue an invoice with different details after the goods have been
dispatched.
[TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER: the invoicing system used and whether invoices are delivered
automatically.]
10. Complaints and customer service
Contact us at info@leis-design.com or +386 51 726 150.
- We acknowledge every written complaint within 5 working days of receiving it.
- We tell you how long we expect to need and we keep you informed.
- We aim to give you a substantive answer within 8 days of receipt.
Complaints are handled confidentially. Making a complaint costs you nothing beyond the cost
of your own message.
Please quote your order number. It is in your confirmation email.
11. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
This is a summary. The full statutory notice and the model withdrawal form are in
Right of Withdrawal.
11.1 The basic rule
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days
without giving any reason. The period runs from the day on which you, or a third party
nominated by you other than the carrier, take physical possession of the goods. For an order
of several units delivered separately, the period runs from possession of the last unit.
To withdraw, send us a clear statement before the deadline expires. You may use the model
form, but you do not have to.
Send it to:
RIMARKET d.o.o., Jurjevica 50, Jurjevica, 1310 Ribnica, Slovenia
or by email to info@leis-design.com
11.2 What happens next
- Return the goods without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of telling us you
are withdrawing. - You bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
- We refund all payments received from you, including the standard delivery cost you paid
when ordering. If you chose a more expensive delivery option than our standard one, we
refund only the standard cost. - We refund within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the same payment
method you used, unless you expressly agree otherwise. Refunds never cost you a fee. - We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods back or until you supply proof that
you have sent them, whichever is earlier. - You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what
is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. In
plain terms, you may unpack the trivet and try a pot on it, the same as you could in a
shop. You may not use it for cooking for two weeks and then send it back scratched and
oiled.
[TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER: whether we promise a faster refund than the statutory 14 days,
and whether we offer a longer return window or a free return label as a commercial promise.
Until confirmed, the statutory minimum above applies.]
11.3 Does the “made to order” exception apply? No.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or
clearly personalised.
This exception does not apply to the Leis Magnetic Trivet. The trivet is produced in one
standard size with no options and no customisation. We start production after your order
purely for stock reasons. Nothing about the item is specified by you.
You therefore have the full 14 day right of withdrawal.
12. Conformity of the goods, defects and guarantee
12.1 Statutory liability for conformity
We are liable to consumers for the conformity of the goods under Directive (EU) 2019/771 and
the Slovenian Consumer Protection Act. In short, the goods must:
- match the description, type, quantity, quality and functionality we stated
- be fit for the purpose a product of this kind is normally used for
- be delivered with the accessories and instructions you can reasonably expect
- have the quality and performance normal for goods of this type, taking into account any
public statement we made
The statutory liability period is two years from delivery.
For defects that appear within the first year after delivery, the defect is presumed to
have existed at delivery, so you do not have to prove it. After that period the presumption
no longer applies.
12.2 What you can ask for
If the goods are not in conformity, you may in the first instance ask for repair or
replacement, free of charge and within a reasonable time. If repair or replacement is
impossible, disproportionate, not carried out within a reasonable time or would cause you
significant inconvenience, you may ask for a proportionate price reduction or you may
terminate the contract and get a refund.
You do not pay the cost of returning defective goods to us.
12.3 How to report a defect
Write to info@leis-design.com. Please include:
- your order number
- a description of the defect
- photographs, which usually save an exchange of several emails
We will confirm receipt within 5 working days and tell you how we intend to proceed.
12.4 What is not a defect
- Natural variation in the grain, colour and figure of the beech.
- Gradual change of colour of the wood and the oiled finish through normal use and exposure
to light. - Marks, dents and scorching caused by use outside the stated heat limit, by soaking, by
dishwasher use or by dropping. - Failure to hold cookware that has a non magnetic base, for example aluminium, copper or
non magnetic stainless steel. This is a property of your cookware and is described on the
product page before purchase.
12.5 Commercial guarantee
[TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER: whether a commercial guarantee is offered, for how long and
covering what. No commercial guarantee is offered at this time.]
Until the owner decides, only the statutory two year liability for conformity described in
section 12.1 applies. Any longer guarantee period would be a commercial promise and will
be published here in a separate guarantee statement, with its duration, its territorial
scope, what it covers, what it excludes and how to claim under it.
A commercial guarantee, if we ever offer one, is in addition to and never in place of your
statutory rights.
13. Customer reviews
We publish customer reviews on the product page. Under Directive (EU) 2019/2161 we must tell
you whether and how we check that reviews come from consumers who actually bought and used
the product. Here is the honest answer.
- Reviews are entered manually by us from feedback we received directly, for example by
email, by message or in person. - There is no review submission form on this website. You cannot post a review here.
- We do not use an independent review platform, so reviews are not verified by a third
party and are not automatically linked to a verified purchase in our shop system. - We publish photographs and first names only where the person gave us permission.
- We do not pay for reviews, we do not offer anything in exchange for a review, and we do
not publish reviews we know to be false. - We do not delete negative reviews in order to inflate the average.
We are aware that a manually curated selection is a weaker signal than a verified review
platform. If we connect an independent review platform in future, we will say so here and on
the product page, and we will label which reviews come from that platform.
14. Intellectual property
All content on leis-design.com, including text, photographs, videos, illustrations, the Leis
name and the Leis logo, belongs to RIMARKET d.o.o. or is used with permission. You may not
copy, reproduce, distribute or use it commercially without our prior written permission.
15. Liability
We are liable in accordance with the law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our
liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for defective
products under Directive (EU) 2024/2853 on liability for defective products, or for any
other liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
We are not liable for:
- damage caused by use of the product outside its stated purpose or beyond its stated heat
limit - damage caused by soaking, dishwasher use or exposure to direct flame
- delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including carrier
disruption, strikes, natural events and failures of public infrastructure - temporary unavailability of the website
The trivet holds cookware by magnetic attraction. The strength of the hold depends on the
base of your cookware. Always support hot cookware with both hands when carrying it. Do
not rely on the magnetic hold alone when carrying hot liquids.
16. Personal data
We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR. What we collect, why, on what legal
basis, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have is set out in our
Privacy Policy.
Cookies and similar technologies are described in our Cookie Policy.
Non essential cookies are set only after you give consent through the consent banner, and
you can withdraw that consent at any time.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any contract concluded under them are governed by the law of the Republic of
Slovenia, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, this choice of law does not
deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live,
in accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I).
For court proceedings, Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 (Brussels I recast) applies. This means:
- You may bring proceedings against us either before the courts of Slovenia or before the
courts of the country where you are domiciled. - We may bring proceedings against you only before the courts of the country where you are
domiciled.
18. Out of court dispute resolution
We prefer to resolve disagreements directly. Please write to info@leis-design.com first, so
we have the chance to put things right.
Alternative dispute resolution. Under the Slovenian Act on Out of Court Resolution of
Consumer Disputes (ZIsRPS) we are required to state whether we recognise any provider of out
of court consumer dispute resolution as competent.
[TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER: RIMARKET d.o.o. does not recognise any provider of out of court
consumer dispute resolution as competent to resolve a consumer dispute. This is the position
stated in the existing terms of the sister shop froc.si. Confirm whether the same position
is to be taken for leis-design.com, or whether a certified provider is to be named.]
The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform no longer exists. The European Commission’s ODR
platform stopped accepting complaints on 20 March 2025 and was shut down on 20 July 2025
under Regulation (EU) 2024/3228. Traders are no longer required to link to it, and are in
fact expected to remove old links, because linking to a dead service misleads consumers. For
this reason there is no ODR link in these terms.
Where you can get help instead:
- The European Commission’s consumer redress information pages at
https://consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu - The European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) in your country, which helps consumers with
cross border disputes inside the EU, free of charge. The Slovenian centre is at
https://www.epc.si - The Market Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia, for complaints about a trader’s
conduct.
Nothing in this section limits your right to go to court.
19. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the version published
on this website at the moment you placed the order. We keep the effective date at the top of
this document up to date.
20. Severability
If any provision of these terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining
provisions stay in force. The invalid provision is replaced by the applicable statutory rule.
